UT Printmaking: Working Generations
Austin, TX - The Davis Gallery proudly announces our participation in PrintAustin 2014 with a group show: UT Printmaking: Working Generations throughout the month of January. The work of three generations: faculty, graduate students, and alumni will be on display. The pieces on view have been selected to show the versatility and range of printmaking techniques, as well as engage the public on the future of print making.
The University of Texas program has a history of building on traditional techniques by encouraging students to push boundaries. The exhibition will be highlighting these innovations that are taking printing into the next stages by showing three dimensional sculptural pieces as well as several installation pieces alongside two dimensional prints.
There will also be a special gallery talk featuring respected print maker and University of Texas professor Lee Chesney, graduate student Samantha Parker Salazar, and alumni Matthew Rebholz on January 29 from 6-8pm at Davis Gallery.
