Sunroom: Larry Goode

Davis Gallery is excited to announce its representation of Austin-based artist Larry Goode – on display in the Sunroom April 4th - May 2nd, 2026. Goode, who holds a BFA from UT Austin and an MFA from Texas State University, creates abstract landscapes that explore the tension between structure and chaos, the tangible and the ephemeral. Drawing on his background as a graphic designer, his layered works infuse vibrant color with a whimsical and surreal attitude, reflecting what has been described as "if cotton candy hired Francis Bacon to do interior design." His work is held in numerous collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago's special collections and Seton Hospital's permanent collection, and has been displayed at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and featured in the HBO series, The Leftovers.
