A Retrospective by Randall Reid
Davis Gallery is pleased to announce Past and Present, a retrospective exhibit that surveys nearly four decades of Randall Reid's prolific career as a visual artist. Throughout his life, Reid has measured and interpreted the elemental qualities of his surroundings. As a boy, he would record his local weather, the temperature, and linear distances in the wide-open prairies and grasslands of Northern Texas. As an artist, Reid has continued to ask the same questions that captured his imagination when he was young, choosing to translate his findings into work characterized by simple line and form, and impressive control of a wide range of media.
