I returned to printmaking with an emphasis on wood grain and the suggested imagery conjured in delineating the knots and variations in the grain’s pattern. A wider range of moods and possibly emotions within the layerings and variations in colors became the focus of the work. Seeking expressions of theoretical physics in the wood grain abstractions has become the central inspiration that I pursue in the patterns of very old plywood. The tide pools of Hawaii where the fresh and saline waters mix are an underwater visual sensation that I continue to explore..
